Don't Mind The Cold

by Christopher Atkins

lyrics

When I look up I trip on my feet
searching for someone that i never meet
I keep moving along, waiting for the sky to fall

When i go out my lungs start to freeze
I hear a whisper saying roll up your sleeves
so I’m working away at the pebbles on a sandy beach

But I don’t mind the cold
It’s not like I’m that old

Dropped a dollar down an empty road
forgot the reasons for decisions I chose
but I’m writing down things I’ve got to get while in town

I thought of walking but it takes too long
borrowed a car because just sitting feels wrong
I’ve been passing the time waiting for the day to come

But I don’t mind the drive
there’s not much time alive
and I’m not trying to keep sinking ’til I’m left back behind
it seems each night gets warmer with every new sunrise
so I don’t mind the cold
